C-UAS Hardware Development Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the hardware architecture, design, prototyping, and microelectronics enhancements for the NCS.

• Establish hardware interfaces, components, and data flows in accordance with secure system architecture.

• Supervise circuit/board-level design, component selection, and the integration of secure hardware and firmware.

• Manage the integration of hardware, software, and networks while facilitating secure remote access and data transfer.

• Lead hardware testing and qualification processes, including environmental, EMI/EMC, and reliability assessments, along with corrective action implementations.

• Assist with RMF/ATO hardware requirements, patch evaluations, and the integration of cybersecurity measures.

• Present the technical approach to hardware at Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).

• Maintain the hardware sections of system documentation.

• Oversee and mentor hardware engineers and technicians within an Agile, cross-functional setting.

• Propel microelectronics hardware design, prototyping, integration, and testing for the Army’s Counter-UAS Network Communication System.

• Ensure hardware solutions comply with performance, security, and military standards while collaborating with software, RF, and cybersecurity teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Hardware Engineering.

• Over 10 years of experience in hardware engineering.

• Experience in a leadership role is essential.

• Current Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

• Demonstrated leadership in hardware design for networked, embedded, or tactical microelectronics systems.

• Proficiency in hardware-software integration, secure communication hardware, and qualification testing.

• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and RMF/ATO as it pertains to hardware.

• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to effectively brief government stakeholders.

• Experience with C-UAS, SHORAD, or LIDS hardware programs is preferred.

• Background in hardware development for fielded tactical systems (M-LIDS/FS-LIDS) is preferred.

• Expertise in microelectronics design for contested or DIL environments is preferred.
