C++ Software Engineer, P3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain high-performance software components and SDKs utilizing C++.

• Integrate intricate libraries and SDKs into current applications and extensive codebases.

• Develop and improve solutions for processing 2D and 3D visualization data.

• Work with legacy visualization formats alongside new technologies, ensuring backward compatibility and enabling migration across platforms.

• Develop and implement functional, performance, and regression testing.

• Analyze and enhance memory usage, CPU performance, and data-transfer latency.

• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines and backend data-processing services.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve intricate technical challenges.

• Produce technical documentation, integration guides, and technology migration instructions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development using C++.

• Proficient knowledge of modern C++ (C++14 or newer).

• Strong understanding of memory management, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.

• Experience in integrating libraries, frameworks, or SDKs into complex software systems.

• Familiarity with software architecture, system design, and analysis of large-scale codebases.

• Proficient with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and solving complex problems.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Experience with 2D/3D graphics concepts, visualization technologies, and geometric processing.

• Understanding of data-streaming protocols and compression techniques.

• Experience with client-server architectures.

• Experience in developing cross-platform applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

• Knowledge of file formats, data serialization, and technologies such as Protobuf or FlatBuffers.

• Experience with profiling, benchmarking, and performance-analysis tools.
