This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Generate and execute purchase orders that comply with CPSR standards based on approved requisitions, RFPs, bids, and other procurement documentation.

• Carry out tactical purchasing responsibilities to support daily buying operations.

• Ensure supplier compliance with Engineering Change Notices through effective follow-up.

• Address supplier performance issues and resolve disputes related to pricing, quality, timing, claims, and contracts.

• Utilize knowledge of commercial contract law and negotiation skills to evaluate risks and secure advantageous terms and conditions.

• Provide assistance in negotiations when necessary.

• Establish and nurture supplier relationships as the main point of contact for designated vendors.

• Monitor demand and spending patterns by commodity category.

• Document cost savings and cost avoidance achievements.

• Keep precise and audit-ready vendor agreements and procurement records.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in government purchasing.

• Ability to comprehend military specifications and interpret blueprints.

• Proficient understanding of laws related to procurement, contracts, and breaches of contract.

• Knowledgeable in price and cost analysis techniques.

• Excellent negotiation abilities.

• Experience with Costpoint ERP is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP are preferred.

• Familiarity with Power BI is preferred.

• Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facilities in Melbourne, FL or Huntsville, AL.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.
