This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Develop plans, processes, methodologies, and tools for the management of supply chains and the chain of custody for Government assets.
• Conduct research and suggest cost-effective purchasing options.
• Assist the Government in the purchasing process and facilitate the delivery of acquired goods.
• Oversee, monitor, and audit hardware recapitalization, maintenance agreements, and software licenses.
• Analyze purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, and completeness.
• Gather additional information as needed.
• Oversee the procurement process from order placement to product receipt and subsequent invoice payment.
• Keep accurate records of procurement activities and documentation for auditing purposes.
• Manage supplier performance through regular communication and adherence to purchase order terms and conditions.
• Engage in invoice approval and address any issues as required.
• A bachelor’s degree is required along with some work experience—typically under 2 years.
• A combination of education, experience, training through employment, internships, military service, or certifications relevant to procurement may be considered in place of a degree.
• Capability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to the customer base where applicable.
• Exceptional customer service skills to fulfill high-demand requirements.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to sustain effective working relationships with team members and clients.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and apply them confidently in everyday processes.
• Problem-solving techniques to tackle unique procurement requests that affect critical support needs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Word.
• Preferred: Experience with Costpoint.
• Preferred: Knowledge of government contracts.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Preferred: Experience in negotiating terms and conditions.
• Preferred: Understanding of build-to-print, fabricated parts, and components.
