Business/Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in batch processes, job monitoring, and maintenance tasks alongside the technical operations team.

• Provide support to technical and functional teams within an IFAMS (Momentum) Operations & Maintenance framework.

• Manage scheduled batch operations, ad hoc requests, data corrections, and problem-solving activities.

• Aid in annual financial close cycles, wave go-lives, and operational readiness initiatives.

• Craft intricate SQL queries for reporting, validation, and troubleshooting purposes.

• Create and sustain Perl and Shell scripts for automation, file processing, and workflow enhancements.

• Oversee batch job configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution utilizing Control-M or similar scheduling tools.

• Execute data validation, reconciliation, and file verification tasks.

• Employ GitHub or comparable version control systems for script and configuration oversight.

• Diagnose issues through logs, job histories, and data flows.

• Utilize Jira, Agility, or similar platforms for task management and issue tracking.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and adhere to Agile workflow methodologies.

• Organize and monitor assigned tasks to guarantee timely completion.

• Develop and maintain Java code that supports operational tools or integration components.

• Collaborate with Web Services, APIs, and FTP integrations to facilitate system connectivity and file transfers.

• Provide evening and weekend support for critical operations as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL with the capability to write complex and optimized queries.

• Practical experience in Perl and Shell scripting for automation tasks.

• Familiarity with Linux navigation, troubleshooting, and basic server management.

• Experience with Control-M or equivalent batch scheduling software.

• Knowledge of GitHub or other version control systems.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Agility.

• Basic knowledge of Java programming to support operational utilities.

• Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts as required by operations.

• Previous experience supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is preferred.

• Familiarity with AI prompting and tools like Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT is desired.

• A minimum of 3 years in technical operations, production support, or system operations roles is preferred.

• Experience working with OpenShift environments is preferred.

• Working knowledge of Web Services, APIs, and FTP integrations is desired.
