This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Evaluate workflows, labor utilization, equipment performance, and production processes.
• Detect bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Spearhead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and execute standardized work procedures.
• Measure and track productivity KPIs such as labor productivity, OEE, throughput, capacity utilization, cycle time, and downtime.
• Develop reporting tools and dashboards to monitor performance trends.
• Conduct time studies, work measurements, and value stream mapping.
• Optimize staffing models and resource allocation strategies.
• Enhance plant layouts, material flow, and workplace organization.
• Support 5S and visual management initiatives.
• Assess automation possibilities and collaborate on technology implementations.
• Assist with digital transformation initiatives involving MES, AI, IFP, Streamline, Infinity ERP, data analytics, and workflow automation.
• Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving productivity.
• Develop business cases and conduct ROI analyses.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership on a monthly basis.
• Train employees in Lean tools and process improvement methodologies.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and support change management for new processes and technologies.
• Report to the Director of Operations and collaborate with colleagues across the organization.
• 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or industrial engineering.
• Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 60–75% of the time.
• Direct experience in extrusion blow molding is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including Power BI and Excel.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP/MRP systems.
• Skills in process mapping and workflow optimization.
• Project management capabilities.
• Experience with SMED (Quick Changeovers).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) is preferred.
