Business Strategy Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine pricing and monetization strategies within the payments and fintech sectors, translating insights into actionable recommendations for NMI.

• Investigate competitors’ product strategies, packaging, market entry methods, and AI capabilities.

• Leverage agentic AI, generative AI, and other AI tools for research, data analysis, model development, and deliverable creation.

• Develop business cases and financial models for leadership's assessment of strategic opportunities.

• Create reusable resources such as competitive trackers and comparison frameworks.

• Transform analysis into executive-ready briefs and presentations, refining them in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Present findings and recommendations to NMI’s executive team at the conclusion of the summer.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization on strategic initiatives related to pricing, monetization, and competitive strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, with plans to return to school after the internship (not graduating in 2027).

• Previous professional experience, including internships or part-time positions.

• Proficient in financial modeling and Excel, capable of constructing models that inform business decisions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior audiences.

• A sincere interest in payments, pricing, and strategy; prior payments experience is not mandatory.

• Background in consulting, banking, corporate strategy, or fintech is advantageous.

• Familiarity with business intelligence tools, particularly Tableau.

• Must possess the legal right to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of background and financial checks required for employment offers.
