Business Solutions Developer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, implement, and support applications managed by the business, along with automations, data solutions, and reporting capabilities.

• Convert business needs into secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

• Oversee the entire solution lifecycle, which encompasses intake, requirements gathering, solution design, application development, testing, deployment, production support, documentation, modernization, and ongoing improvement.

• Offer technical guidance to fellow developers.

• Advocate for development standards and engage in code reviews.

• Enhance the reliability and maintainability of the application portfolio.

• Write software code and applications utilizing classes, inheritance, virtualization, and best programming practices.

• Develop and maintain solutions using SQL, C#, Python, .NET, APIs, Power BI, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, and other relevant platforms.

• Conduct detailed research and advanced analysis to determine optimal solutions, methods, and tools.

• Collaborate with and mentor peers on development and solution strategies.

• Facilitate regular code reviews and manage pull requests.

• Lead and conduct requirements-gathering meetings.

• Keep stakeholders informed throughout the solution development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the relevant field or a related area.

• Completion of a technical training program (such as LaunchCode, FDM, etc.) may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.

• Proficient in advanced SQL and relational database management.

• Experience with C#, Python, .NET, or similar object-oriented programming languages.

• Intermediate knowledge of Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Teradata, or comparable database platforms.

• Experience with API and systems integration.

• Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.

• Background in supporting production applications within an operational environment.

• Experience in healthcare, managed care, claims, or healthcare operations.

• Experience in modernizing legacy applications, databases, reporting solutions, or automations.

• Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
