Business Solutions Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and assess business requirements or use cases to develop technical solutions beyond the standard Information Services production environment.

• Recognize and introduce automation tools to remove manual processes and enhance existing systems.

• Develop business-enabling tools, error-handling solutions, and productivity enhancements while complying with technical specifications, industry development standards, and SLAs.

• Independently test and troubleshoot code and engage in testing projects developed by other team members.

• Serve as the departmental business coordinator for small to medium-sized and moderately complex projects.

• Offer consultative support to team members and business partners across various business areas.

• Conduct interviews with business partners to identify requirements, document current and future processes, and establish metrics and success criteria.

• Document and monitor project plans and work deliverables.

• Collaborate with business partners to ensure projects remain on track.

• Report development and production issues to project teams and management.

• Formulate and oversee implementation plans with business areas.

• Create training materials and support documentation, including user guides, and provide training for end users.

• Offer post-implementation warranty support, problem resolution, root cause analysis, and tool performance analysis.

• Provide system administration and oversight as required.

• Communicate actions, business impacts, and anticipated results at the appropriate organizational level.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (if required), or 5+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.

• 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.

• Familiarity with SAS PROC SQL, Tableau, and VBA for data analysis, reporting, and process automation is advantageous.

• Experience in the Health Insurance or Healthcare sector is a plus.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
