Business / QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend and document process workflows.

• Identify areas for process enhancement and new application functionalities.

• Elicit and document requirements effectively.

• Capture user stories in Jira while ensuring traceability to objectives.

• Maintain team alignment with MVP definitions and project timelines.

• Translate anticipated application processes into functional test cases.

• Conduct manual testing and document the outcomes.

• Work alongside QA Engineers to develop regression and performance test cases.

• Identify and prioritize candidates for test automation utilizing tools such as Playwright.

• Log, track, and manage defects and errors diligently.

• Partner with Product Owners to assess project risks and establish mitigation strategies.

• Monitor the progress of issue resolution.

• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) initiatives.

• Collaborate during beta testing to replicate and address issues with developers.

• Monitor processes to uphold quality standards.

• Assist with change management, including the creation, delivery, and communication of training content.

• Troubleshoot errors with users and facilitate product adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance roles within an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) framework.

• Extensive background in software development processes.

• Understanding of quality assurance methodologies.

• Familiarity with testing tools such as Playwright.

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.

• Proven track record of managing user requirements within strict project deadlines.

• Ability to quantify the potential business value of proposed enhancements.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

• Previous experience working with professional services businesses is a plus.

• Experience in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors is highly preferred.

• Willingness to overlap with North America business hours.

• Proficiency in English for interviews, documentation, and daily communications.
