Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Craft and enhance SQL queries to extract, combine, and summarize data.

• Construct and uphold data models, incorporating DAX measures and calculated columns.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert reporting requirements into data visualizations.

• Design and manage ETL/data pipelines.

• Oversee data quality and resolve discrepancies between source systems and reports.

• Record data definitions, report logic, and dashboard usage.

• Discover opportunities to automate recurrent reports and optimize reporting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI or a similar BI tool like Tableau or Looker, including proficiency in DAX and data modeling.

• Proficient SQL skills, including advanced queries with joins, subqueries, and window functions on relational databases.

• Strong grasp of data modeling concepts and best practices, such as star schemas.

• Experience with data warehouses and/or ETL tools and methodologies.

• Familiarity with IMO, Insurance Carrier, and/or financial services operations is highly preferred.

• Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Ability to clearly convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-driven and adept at working autonomously in a remote setting.

• Knowledge of Power Query (M language) and Power BI Service administration is a plus.

• Experience with Python or another scripting language for data processing or automation is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure or Snowflake is beneficial.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the USA.
