This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Document moderately to highly complex business requirements, data definitions, business rules, and data quality criteria for enterprise data intelligence initiatives.
• Develop specifications for reports and analyses based on both business and clinical needs, along with available or necessary data elements.
• Generate datasets, reports, ad-hoc requests, dashboards, and analytic solutions.
• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, reporting patterns, insights, and trends to key decision-makers.
• Write moderately complex SQL code and queries.
• Manage data-request intake, comprehend business needs, train end-users and staff, and provide recommendations.
• Evaluate healthcare business requests and utilize critical thinking to address challenges.
• Execute complex report and data analysis with assistance from senior team members, vendors, and EIS contacts.
• Engage in workflow-process re-engineering alongside end-users and business stakeholders.
• Document clinical/business operations, processes, workflows, dependencies, issues, and intricate concepts for stakeholders.
• Offer subject matter expertise and training; participate in interviews and onboarding processes.
• Identify integrated project risks across functions and provide leadership to ensure timely project delivery.
• Utilize knowledge of build concepts, Epic migration pathways, change control governance, and ticket management.
• Lead process and requirements analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering, stakeholder analysis, and specification collection on complex projects.
• Act as the primary contact for vendor support on complex projects and manage external vendor relationships.
• Prepare structured status reports and coordinate with team members to gather necessary information.
• Oversee quality assurance and complex integrated testing initiatives while managing testing projects.
• Provide options and trade-offs during strategy discussions.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (minimum requirement).
• 5 years of experience with healthcare information management systems and/or clinical operations for external candidates; 4 years for internal candidates who have completed the EDI Data Quality and Governance training program.
• 5 years of experience in writing SQL statements and accessing relational database systems for external candidates; 4 years for internal candidates who have completed the EDI Data Quality and Governance training program.
• 5 years of experience using analytic business intelligence tools such as Crystal, Business Objects, SAS, and Tableau for external candidates; 4 years for internal candidates who have completed the EDI Data Quality and Governance training program.
• EPIC Certification at the time of hire is preferred.
• A Master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
• Coursework or background in statistics is preferred.
