This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement business development initiatives in alignment with HCEM growth goals, target markets, key accounts, and strategic plans.
• Discover and cultivate new leads and opportunities through outreach, establishing client relationships, engaging in industry activities, referrals, and various initiatives.
• Engage with potential and current clients via calls, emails, meetings, events, campaigns, and relationship-building activities.
• Develop and sustain relationships with clients and prospects, gaining insight into their organizations, priorities, challenges, and requirements.
• Enhance existing accounts by offering additional services, cross-selling, renewals, and leveraging broader Jensen Hughes capabilities.
• Follow up on leads and opportunities, documenting and executing subsequent steps within the sales pipeline.
• Assist in pursuits from lead to closure, including client coordination, follow-up, proposal creation, qualifications, scope and fee development, and collaboration with technical and operational teams.
• Collaborate with the HCEM Business Development Manager, Operations, technical resources, and subject matter experts.
• Facilitate communication and continuity among Business Development, Operations, and clients.
• Maintain precise business development data within company systems, encompassing activity, leads, opportunities, pipeline, proposals, orders, renewals, and growth metrics.
• Utilize established business development processes and tools to ensure transparency in activities, opportunity progression, client engagement, and outcomes.
• Support strategic account and client development plans.
• Foster relationships at various levels within key accounts.
• Assist in efforts to retain and renew clients.
• Articulate the value of Jensen Hughes services and align client needs with suitable expertise and solutions.
• Acquire knowledge of HCEM and Jensen Hughes service offerings to pinpoint cross-selling opportunities.
• Keep abreast of trends in healthcare and emergency management, client challenges, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities.
• Engage in industry events, conferences, associations, and client-oriented activities.
• Manage assigned business development responsibilities while fostering a cooperative approach.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in business development and/or account management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Experience with government contract tracking systems or platforms is preferred.
• Background in a professional services firm is preferred.
• General knowledge and confidence in utilizing computer databases and menu-driven reports.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to follow-through.
• Ability to excel in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong listening abilities.
• Capability to devise innovative plans or solutions.
• Candidates located outside New England who are willing to travel to the Connecticut or New York office approximately quarterly are preferred.
