This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a thorough business development strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives.
• Influence and define requirements early in the acquisition process to match OSC Edge’s strengths.
• Oversee the complete business development lifecycle, which includes identifying opportunities, capturing strategies, supporting proposals, and transitioning contracts.
• Build and sustain relationships with decision-makers in the DoD and Government, as well as industry partners and integrators.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide weekly updates and reports on progress.
• Contribute to business development processes such as CRM, formal capture, and proposal workflows.
• Forecast and capture new opportunities while nurturing both new and existing client relationships.
• Recognize strategic inflection points for both core and non-traditional business initiatives.
• Develop and present opportunities for strategic and business growth, including market and competitive analysis.
• Daily monitor government portals, notices, and postings for opportunities that fit strategic and tactical criteria for Go/No-Go decisions.
• Execute other assigned tasks.
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory; an associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales within the Federal Government and/or Department of Defense IT market.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing market-entry and growth strategies.
• Experience in identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and securing both small and large-scale Federal and DoD contract opportunities, ideally in the IT sector.
• Demonstrated familiarity with POM processes and contracting methods such as IDIQ.
• Proven ability to build relationships with federal acquisition offices and collaborate with both subcontractors and prime Federal Contractors.
• Experience in pursuing tactical, operational, and strategic business development opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
• An active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one as required.
• Capability to identify, qualify, pursue, and capture Federal and DoD contract opportunities.
• Strong understanding of POM processes and contracting methods.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business judgment capabilities.
• Proficient in managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as industry-standard software and databases.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, editing, and proofreading.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity.
• Physical capability to use computers, endure repetitive keyboarding, work in confined spaces, kneel, bend, twist, reach, and regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
