This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Formulate and implement a detailed government strategy for the DACH region, focusing on the Space Force, defense-related agencies, and allied defense organizations.
• Recognize, engage, and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in federal agencies, military branches, and government-affiliated organizations.
• Create and finalize significant government contracts with a minimum annual sales order goal of $8 million.
• Oversee the entire sales process from initial discussions to proposal creation and securing long-term agreements.
• Connect with German aerospace and defense contractors, primes, space agencies, and institutional stakeholders to position satellite infrastructure for procurement.
• Discover business opportunities within government-funded space programs, defense initiatives, and international collaboration efforts.
• Represent the organization at industry events, government briefings, and policy discussions.
• Keep track of government funding programs, procurement trends, and policy changes impacting the space sector.
• Work together with product, technical, legal, and executive teams to ensure business development strategies align with company goals.
• Travel frequently for client meetings, conferences, and industry activities in the DACH region and beyond.
• Over 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or contract acquisition in the space, defense, or aerospace sectors.
• Proven success in closing high-value government contracts.
• Extensive network within the German military and defense community, along with relevant German government agencies.
• Strong understanding of German government procurement processes, funding mechanisms, and export control regulations.
• Capability to work autonomously while collaborating with product, technical, legal, and executive teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills suited to government stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, conferences, and industry engagements in the DACH region and beyond.
• Based in Munich or Berlin, or open to relocation.
• Familiarity with purchase processes, RFP procedures, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
• Extensive network of contacts within the space industry and professional relationships in aerospace.
