This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Director of Business Development in crafting and executing strategies to identify regional sales opportunities.
• Market products and services to significant new and existing clients through personal interactions, phone calls, face-to-face meetings, white papers, proposals, trials, and presentations.
• Aid in the timely execution and fulfillment of assigned goals and objectives, including long-term targets and strategic plans.
• Propel profitable revenue growth through sales bookings across both existing and new business ventures utilizing the company CRM system.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, pricing, promotional activities, sales, and marketing strategies.
• Develop synchronized regional marketing and sales initiatives, encompassing product launches and market penetration strategies.
• Support market research and analysis efforts, providing recommendations for marketing, pricing, positioning, advertising, and promotional strategies.
• Create client business proposals, gather internal technical expertise, and lead client presentations.
• Consult with clients to comprehend their business needs and identify appropriate products and services.
• Build and maintain connections with government, defense, and naval headquarters stakeholders to qualify and expand business opportunities.
• Observe competitor sales activities and strategies, contributing to competitive intelligence and preliminary market analysis.
• Participate in industry forums, trade shows, and other events as needed.
• Provide regional assistance to OSI technicians and personnel when required.
• Adhere to legislation, company policies, processes, instructions, safety requirements, duty of care, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Maintain effective and professional relationships with management, employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Exercise judgment regarding the optimal use of corporate information for business development purposes.
• Ensure that business development solutions are presented consistently in alignment with company guidelines and pricing strategies.
• Over 5 years of experience with the Navy, including bridge watch-standing, navigation, and tactical deployment of ship assets using modern electronic navigation systems, or equivalent experience in the Maritime Defence Industry.
• Strong negotiation skills complemented by focused strategic and tactical selling abilities.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• At ease presenting to and engaging with large audiences and groups.
• Basic understanding of marketing and sales in military and quasi-military environments.
