Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to create and execute strategies aimed at identifying regional sales opportunities.

• Promote products and services to significant new and existing clients through various methods, including personal interactions, phone calls, white papers, proposals, trials, and presentations.

• Assist in the timely execution and accomplishment of assigned goals and objectives, encompassing both long-term targets and strategic plans.

• Foster profitable revenue growth and sales bookings in both existing and new business endeavors by utilizing the company CRM system.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, pricing, promotional tactics, sales techniques, and marketing strategies.

• Create regional marketing and sales initiatives, product launch plans, and market penetration strategies.

• Aid in market research and analysis, providing recommendations for marketing, pricing, positioning, advertising, and promotional strategies.

• Develop business proposals for clients, coordinate internal technical expertise, and lead presentations to clients.

• Consult with clients to ascertain their business needs and identify appropriate products and services.

• Build and maintain relationships with Government, Defence, and Naval HQ stakeholders to qualify and expand business opportunities for OSI.

• Observe competitor sales activities and strategies, contributing to competitive intelligence and initial market evaluations.

• Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other events as needed.

• Provide regional support to OSI technicians and personnel as required.

• Adhere to legislation, company policies, processes, instructions, safety requirements, and QMS standards.

• Maintain effective and professional relationships with management, staff, customers, contractors, and suppliers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with the Navy, including bridge watch-keeping, navigation, and tactical utilization of ships’ assets using modern electronic navigation systems, or equivalent experience in a Maritime Defence Industry organization.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Proficient in strategic and tactical selling techniques.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management abilities.

• Comfortable engaging with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

• Capable of presenting to and interacting with large groups and audiences.

• Some familiarity with marketing and sales within military and pseudo-military contexts.

• Self-driven and motivated.

• Ability to work independently or in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
