This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Identify, prospect, and cultivate new relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, fabricators, converters, and distributors across North America.
β’ Develop a qualified pipeline of potential customers, applications, and market opportunities.
β’ Manage opportunities from the initial outreach and discovery phase through to qualification, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, closing, and commercial launch.
β’ Recognize applications where high-performance materials can address customer challenges in performance, manufacturing, cost, or supply chain.
β’ Expand into new territories and market segments instead of only maintaining an existing customer base.
β’ Establish relationships with stakeholders in engineering, procurement, operations, product development, and executive leadership.
β’ Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and commercial teams to advance technically complex opportunities.
β’ Coordinate customer and business development activities with colleagues across the United States, Mexico, and Europe.
β’ Represent the company during customer visits, trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
β’ Drive North American business for an international manufacturer of engineered materials, including electrical insulation materials, technical laminates, reinforced materials, composites, and other high-performance solutions.
β’ Proven success in developing new B2B customers, territories, applications, or market segments.
β’ Experience in business development, territory sales, technical sales, market development, account development, or a similar commercial role within engineered materials, composites, plastics, insulation, specialty materials, or industrial manufacturing.
β’ Background in selling technical materials, components, or industrial solutions within manufacturing environments.
β’ Strong orientation towards new business development and the capability to independently prospect, create, and develop opportunities.
β’ Proficiency in understanding technical applications and engaging credibly with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial stakeholders.
β’ Experience working with OEMs, manufacturers, fabricators, converters, distributors, or similar industrial clients.
β’ Excellent consultative selling, qualification, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
β’ Proactive, self-directed, and organized approach with strong commercial judgment.
β’ Ability to function effectively within a lean, international organization and collaborate across various functions and countries.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 50β70% throughout North America.
β’ Experience in composites, engineered plastics, electrical insulation, advanced materials, automotive, commercial vehicles, rail, industrial automation, or related manufacturing markets is particularly advantageous.
β’ Candidates must be based in the U.S.
