This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Meet annual sales objectives and revenue goals for designated accounts through proactive sales initiatives and client interactions.
• Build, sustain, and grow relationships with current and potential clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
• Formulate and implement account plans for major accounts and strategic partners.
• Deliver weekly sales activity summaries and business updates to upper management.
• Create and execute client call strategies and sales plans.
• Follow up on leads and uncover new business prospects.
• Collect and relay market insights and competitive data.
• Showcase and advocate for the business unit's capabilities and service offerings.
• Detect and convey opportunities for cross-selling across various business units.
• Manage client expectations and enhance customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and provide integrated client solutions.
• Organize and facilitate client visits and business meetings.
• Review client proposals and offer insights to support commercial goals.
• Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) for managing customer data, sales activities, opportunity tracking, and revenue forecasting.
• Oversee sales opportunities and ensure accurate revenue projections.
• Work collaboratively across business units to identify and secure multi-service opportunities.
• Assist in proposal creation and scope discussions.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and engage in relationship management.
• Participate in strategic account teams and corporate account planning efforts.
• Lead client presentations, business reviews, and commercial negotiations.
• Identify client requirements and develop new business avenues.
• Share best practices and contribute to sales training and development efforts.
• Examine industry trends and market conditions to pinpoint potential business opportunities.
• Manage strategic accounts and intricate sales projects.
• Provide guidance on RFPs, quotations, and protocol interpretation.
• Develop strategies for long-term account growth.
• Lead negotiations for Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and preferred provider contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in selling Real World Data (RWD), Real World Evidence (RWE), RWD services, healthcare data solutions, or similar offerings directly to pharmaceutical or biotechnology firms.
• At least 5 years of experience engaging with mid-level decision-makers, executive stakeholders, or both within pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience overseeing strategic accounts, complex sales initiatives, or both.
• At least 3 years of experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems for opportunity tracking, account management, and revenue forecasting.
• Experience in negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, statements of work, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), preferred provider agreements, or equivalent business arrangements.
• Advanced knowledge of the industry.
• A highly consultative approach to client interactions and solution development.
• Capability to identify, cultivate, and extend strategic client relationships.
• Ability to recognize opportunities across multiple business units.
• Proven leadership in client-facing settings.
• Competence in presenting effectively to executive and senior-level stakeholders.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Skills in managing and motivating client-facing teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and business performance management.
• Ability to assess commercial opportunities and support pricing strategies.
• Capability to handle challenging client, operational, or financial situations.

• Strong customer focus and relationship management abilities.
• Proven negotiation skills in complex client scenarios.

• Approximately 35% travel required, with around 50% of travel potentially involving overnight stays.
