This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide analytical support for government clients through data insights.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on data extraction, cleansing, analysis, visualization, and storytelling.
• Collect business requirements and assess source systems.
• Identify underlying data sources and define transformation needs.
• Create data models and develop metadata for analysis and visualization purposes.
• Obtain and evaluate enterprise data and metrics for use in visualizations and dashboards.
• Work with business areas and project teams to gather, identify, prioritize, and document data visualization and business intelligence requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert on functional and technical aspects of data visualization and business intelligence.
• Convert business analysis and needs into report and dashboard prototypes.
• Contribute to best practices in design and visualization.
• Utilize business intelligence tools to produce dashboard deliverables.
• Document processes for data acquisition, management, and governance.
• Implement process enhancements and efficiencies.
• Develop training materials and user guides.
• Provide group and individual training sessions for end users.
• Support a government financial office.
• Some travel may be necessary.
• At least five (5) years of experience in government acquisition, finance or financial management, program management or a related field within a Department of War organization.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with business intelligence and self-service data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Qlik View is preferred.
• CCaR and/or PMRT experience is preferred.
• Experience with DoW or DAF is preferred.
• Familiarity with Advana or War Data Platform (WDP) is preferred.
• Selected candidates must complete a Federal background investigation.
• Additional eligibility criteria for access to classified information or materials must be met.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• H1-B visas and other visa sponsorships are not available.
• Ability to sit, type, hear, see, and speak for extended periods is required.
• Consistent work and typing on a computer for long durations is expected.
• Clear communication of accurate information and ideas is essential.
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying at least 15 lbs.
• Some travel may be involved.
• Work hours may vary from Monday to Friday; additional hours and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines or travel requirements.
