Senior Manager, Data, Analytics, AI/ML Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Establish the long-term framework for data, analytics, and AI/ML platforms that align with the enterprise digital strategy.

• Create reference architectures, design patterns, and platform standards for cloud, Lakehouse, and AI ecosystems.

• Lead the development of technology proof of concepts to assess architectural solutions.

• Offer thought leadership on contemporary architectural principles and the modernization of technology.

• Assess emerging technologies such as AI, knowledge graphs, real-time streaming, and ML Ops, providing strategic insights.

• Propel ongoing technological transformation to reduce technical debt.

• Design comprehensive solutions that encompass ingestion, transformation, governance, analytics, and ML operationalization.

• Direct architectural design for Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Services, SAP S/4 connectors, and enterprise knowledge graph/ontology platforms.

• Establish patterns for real-time streaming, data virtualization, metadata frameworks, and multi-cloud integration.

• Ensure scalability, performance, redundancy, cost-effectiveness, and security of platforms.

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Data Governance teams to uphold standards for data privacy, lineage, cataloging, and access control.

• Ensure adherence to government regulations, export control, and enterprise security protocols.

• Provide architectural leadership across cross-functional engineering teams and strategic initiatives.

• Advise business executives, product owners, and technical stakeholders effectively.

• Mentor and guide data engineers, architects, and analytics professionals.

• Facilitate architecture governance forums and conduct design reviews for significant programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with over 10 years of relevant work experience; OR an Advanced Degree with over 7 years of relevant work experience.

• More than 7 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, AI/ML, or related technical fields.

• At least 5 years of experience architecting cloud-native data platforms using Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Extensive experience with Databricks, Lakehouse architectures, and modern ELT/ETL tools.

• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, real-time data streaming, data governance, and API/Integration architectures.

• Proven capability to design and implement large-scale enterprise data architecture solutions.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and engagement skills with executives.

• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under this program/contract.

• Preferred: experience with SAP S/4HANA integrations, manufacturing data, or aerospace & defense sectors.

• Preferred: practical knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as MLflow, Feature Stores, RAG, and vector databases.

• Preferred: experience with knowledge graph/ontology platforms like Kobai, Neo4j, or Databricks Graph technologies.

• Preferred: experience leading teams in Agile delivery environments.

• Preferred: capability to drive modernization, cloud migration, or digital transformation initiatives.
