Business Automation Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Implement bulk claims automation requests by following established protocols

• Assess eligibility for automation and verify results

• Conduct reviews, investigations, adjustments, and resolutions for claims, appeals, inquiries, and payment discrepancies

• Assist with automation maintenance tasks, including updates and configuration changes, under guidance

• Execute basic data validation and analysis utilizing Excel and/or entry-level SQL

• Validate automation outcomes and recognize exceptions

• Aid in documenting workflows, job aids, and procedural steps

• Take notes on current processes and proposed modifications

• Rectify identified errors

• Support the gathering of requirements by collecting inputs, clarifying operational necessities, and documenting results

• Address automation-related inquiries and issues from both internal and external customers

• Appropriately escalate requests

• Engage in testing activities, including UAT support and regression checks

• Conduct post-implementation validation

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

• Adhere to all policies and standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• 1–3 years of experience related to claims in claim processing, claims payment assistance, medical billing, or claims operations

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Understanding of claims processing fundamentals and strong attention to detail

• Basic skills in analysis, validation, and exception management

• Excellent customer support and communication skills

• Commitment to process adherence and documentation support

• Introductory knowledge of automation

• Experience with automation tools (Macro Express) is preferred

• Technical aptitude is favored

• Exposure to beginner-level SQL is preferred or a willingness to learn

• Coding experience is preferred
