Business Applications Developer – Mission Critical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain bespoke internal business applications, such as CRM systems, data-entry interfaces, scheduling tools, and tracking systems.

• Create dashboards and reports utilizing project, financial, and operational data.

• Design and manage data structures, data models, databases, and lists.

• Establish automations and integrations between Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft 365, and other systems through APIs, connectors, and workflow tools.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, while reviewing, testing, understanding, and documenting the generated code, prompts, and agents.

• Collaborate with business program owners to conduct discovery sessions, define requirements and measurable success criteria, and translate workflows into actionable solutions.

• Act as the technical lead throughout the phases of discovery, proof of concept, beta testing, launch, support, and retirement.

• Adhere to build standards for version control, testing, documentation, and secure management of API keys, service accounts, and connectors.

• Prepare security review submissions with Panattoni Tech and comply with data-handling rules and client restrictions concerning AI tools.

• Address and resolve bugs and enhancement requests while maintaining programs post-launch.

• Assist with beta testing, rollout, and user training by providing technical input, documentation, and quick reference guides.

• Monitor usage and time-saved metrics, reporting results to program owners and Tech & AI leadership.

• Provide guidance and review power-user dashboards and automations for adherence to compliance standards.

• Assess tools, platforms, and methodologies, recommending whether to build, buy, or phase out solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in developing business applications, dashboards, or automations, ideally within the construction, engineering, or similar project-based industries.

• A proven portfolio showcasing tools that have been built and supported.

• Capability to articulate data models, architecture, and trade-offs without depending on AI assistance.

• Preferably familiar with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Power BI, SharePoint, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam.

• Experience with cloud platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development is advantageous.

• Self-driven and able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
