Business Applications Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Identify simple to moderate business requirements and solutions for the implementation of packaged system software.

• Configure and manage packaged software applications.

• Engage in process design and system testing activities.

• Act as a subject matter expert in an existing application domain.

• Assist in defining modification requirements for packaged software and in designing interface specifications.

• Establish and sustain configurations for packaged software files.

• Conduct discovery and fact-finding for assigned tasks.

• Collaborate with business areas throughout development and implementation phases.

• Identify, communicate, and execute departmental best practices.

• Analyze application and system issues, collaborating with support teams.

• Develop, implement, and convey recommendations and solutions effectively.

• Complete project initiatives within designated timelines and budgets.

• Mentor junior staff and provide support to senior team members.

• Offer configuration expertise and consultative support to clients and business partners.

• Execute SDLC activities, including solution design, code development and maintenance, unit testing, and technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree (if applicable).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.

• Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

• Proficiency in configuring and administering packaged system software.

• Understanding of application data definitions, usage, file structures, technical code structures, and business rules.

• Experience with business requirements, process design, system testing, interfaces, and SDLC activities.

• Background in code development and maintenance.

• Experience in unit testing and creating sample data sets.

• Capability to write system and technical specifications.

• Ability to complete project tasks within set timelines and budgets.

• Competence in providing direction and support to junior staff members.
