Business Analytics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Comprehend the needs and objectives of the business

• Ensure that data initiatives are aligned with business goals

• Gather and analyze business requirements along with use cases

• Develop user stories and process flows

• Foster a shared understanding among stakeholders

• Identify opportunities for process improvements

• Assist in testing, validation, and user acceptance processes

• Serve as the "voice of the business" during the delivery lifecycle

• Lead the elicitation of requirements from stakeholders

• Analyze business processes to pinpoint improvement opportunities

• Create and maintain documentation for business rules and requirements

• Develop and sustain business use cases

• Create and maintain process models

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the feasibility of requirements

• Manage communications and expectations of stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in requirements elicitation and analysis

• Exceptional facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience in converting business processes into Agile requirements

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

• Familiarity with influencing without having formal authority

• Proven ability to build consensus and deliver value to the business

• Solid business acumen

• Experience with data, reporting, BI, or data warehouse initiatives

• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

• Background as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a related position

• Knowledge of databases and reporting solutions

• Capability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred

• Business process mapping experience is preferred

• Familiarity with data visualization tools is preferred

• Understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts is preferred

• Relevant certifications from IIBA, PMI, or Scrum Alliance are preferred
