Business Analytics Advisor – Clinical & Affordability Trend Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Develop and create clinical risk indicators, projection insights, and key performance indicators within the CHC Risk Ecosystem.

• Collaborate with clinical, finance, analytics, affordability, technical, and visualization teams to establish effective analytic capabilities.

• Enhance trend analysis and gain insights from claims data.

• Convert relationships among authorizations, claims, diagnostic categories, service categories, and episodes of care into clear clinical and financial insights.

• Oversee the comprehensive development of clinical insights and opportunities for affordability.

• Emphasize continuous improvement and measurable value.

• Leverage both internal and external data to link clinical performance, market trends, and cost-of-care drivers.

• Establish trusted partnerships across matrixed teams.

• Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in health plan or health system data analytics, affordability analytics, clinical analysis, or a related healthcare analytics field.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare data, including claims, provider data, clinical information, diagnosis codes, authorizations, cost, quality, and health plan performance metrics.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience with database management systems for analyzing large datasets.

• Capability to interpret clinical findings into financial impact estimates and provide clear recommendations for non-clinical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, storytelling, collaboration, and business partnership skills within a matrixed environment.

• Preferred experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.

• Preferred experience with AI-enabled tools to enhance analytics, code development, documentation, or insight generation.

• Familiarity with clinical coding concepts, clinical operations, affordability programs, or predictive analytics methods is preferred.

• Familiarity with querying and utilizing EPIC platform data is preferred.

• Home internet access via a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with a minimum speed of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload if working from home.
