Business Analyst – Mortgage Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and implementation of SitusAMC technology, encompassing internal software applications.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Senior Business Analysts on developing new features and executing the product roadmap.

• Actively engage in agile teams.

• Develop and maintain user stories.

• Support the agile development and QA teams.

• Gather, review, analyze, and document both system and user requirements.

• Work with stakeholders to establish project goals, scope, and timelines.

• Adapt plans and priorities based on changes in project scope, priorities, or requirements.

• Assign tasks as directed by the manager.

• Evaluate user feedback, survey results, and usage statistics to enhance and validate requirements.

• Advocate for and support departmental goals and objectives.

• Relay staff feedback, performance updates, and project status to the manager.

• Organize, track, and prioritize assigned projects.

• Ensure projects are completed within designated time frames and communicate any delays.

• Convert business requirements into functional designs for development, testing, and implementation.

• Examine system usage, overrides, exceptions, validation handling, errors, and excessive time per page/field.

• Coordinate with application analysts to ensure system coherence.

• Participate in or lead quality initiatives.

• Anticipate and mitigate potential problems and roadblocks.

• Assist with UAT testing.

• Help in preparing demonstrations.

• Address daily requests.

• Communicate testing progress, results, issues, and roadblocks to stakeholders and management.

• Perform other assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically in a Senior Analyst or Analyst role or an equivalent external position.

• Over five years of experience in mortgage, technology, or the secondary market.

• Training in finance or mortgage banking is preferred.

• Proven success as a QA or Technology Analyst at SitusAMC is strongly preferred.

• Strong professional relationships with all staff and stakeholders.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to offer actionable, constructive feedback objectively and diplomatically.

• Proficient in MS Office and web-based systems, with a focus on Excel.

• High proficiency in Microsoft products.

• Professional demeanor and ability to work as part of a team.
