Business Analyst, MES

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Conduct interviews with business stakeholders, partner system representatives, and domain leaders to uncover business opportunities and preliminarily evaluate their value, scale, and dependencies for creating business cases.

• Develop and document business process flows and user stories associated with Emerson PKM, including integrations across MES, LIMS, ERP, PLM systems, and reporting functionalities.

• Ensure compliance with Good Practice (GxP) regulations and maintain data interoperability.

• Produce functional specifications, architecture decision records, and technical documentation for PKM configurations, integration solutions, and reporting needs.

• Foster alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams concerning business processes, data flows, system functionalities, and architectural frameworks.

• Identify applicable Generative AI/ML use cases within the manufacturing sector and assist in their implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• 5-10 years of experience as a Functional Architect and/or Business Analyst/Consultant within a pharmaceutical or Life Sciences setting.

• Practical knowledge in product recipe design and parameter definition (MES).

• Demonstrated experience in system integration projects that include DeltaV, SAP S4 HANA, ELN, MES, ERP, LIMS, PLM, or similar systems.

• Strong analytical ability and skill in converting business requirements into well-defined functional and non-functional specifications.

• Exceptional communication skills and a capacity to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional global context.

• Insight into manufacturing processes for drug substances and/or drug products.

• Capability to de-escalate situations, maintain productive discussions, and concentrate on outcomes.

• Availability from 3–7 PM CET to ensure overlap with EU and US teams.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

• Familiarity with ISA-95 / ISA-88 principles and enterprise-level integration concepts is a plus.

• Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies is advantageous.

• Previous experience at Roche or in similarly complex regulated environments is beneficial.

• A strong understanding of data interoperability, reporting standards, and business process mapping is desirable.

• Solid knowledge of SQL databases, relational data structures, and reporting systems is a plus.
