Business Analyst, Data & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers.

• Ensure that technical developments are in line with strategic business objectives.

• Lead the collection and validation of intricate requirements for data-driven applications, analytics dashboards, and AI/ML model implementations.

• Generate functional and non-functional specifications, User Stories, and Source-to-Target Mappings (STTM).

• Develop wireframes and mockups for data interfaces and reporting tools.

• Facilitate early feedback and alignment from stakeholders.

• Analyze data trends and evaluate data quality.

• Establish KPIs that measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to enhance data workflows and integration points throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience in Data Analytics, Machine Learning (ML), and AI; experience in Machine Learning is considered a plus but not a requirement.

• Familiarity with the lifecycle of a data project, from ingestion to visualization.

• Skilled in requirements elicitation techniques.

• Capability to create detailed documentation.

• Experience with wireframing and mockup tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, or Miro.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex Data Lake or AI concepts to non-technical executives.

• Proficient in engaging with senior business stakeholders.

• Experience in Analytics and Reporting.

• Experience in requirements elicitation and utilizing wireframes and mockups is a plus but not essential.
