Business Analyst – Canadian Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the comprehensive development and delivery of Form3’s Canadian RTR payment gateway in collaboration with the Product Manager.

• Comprehend and assess payment scheme, product, and business requirements.

• Convert requirements into clear and actionable tasks.

• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and both functional and non-functional specifications.

• Evaluate the effects of product modifications and enhancements, documenting requirements to facilitate delivery.

• Leverage data and analysis to generate insights that support well-informed product decisions.

• Engage with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and the broader business throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem and act as a trusted source of payment expertise.

• Manage key Business Analyst activities and deliverables from requirements gathering to successful product launch.

• Participate in the screening call, team interview, Zoom interview, and executive review interview processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the payments, banking, or FinTech sectors.

• In-depth knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem and infrastructure, preferably with experience in Interac e-Transfer or other Canadian payment systems.

• Proficient in translating complex business, product, or payment scheme requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Strong technical understanding of APIs, cloud technologies, and contemporary system architectures.

• Capability to convert business requirements into precise technical specifications and collaborate effectively with Engineering teams.

• Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience in supporting products from requirements to delivery.

• Strong analytical skills, with experience utilizing data to facilitate decision-making.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

• Ability to simplify complex payment concepts into clear and actionable items.

• Capacity to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
