Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Conduct discovery sessions with business line teams through interviews, workshops, and observation of live operations.

• Document existing processes, roles, costs, and efforts involved.

• Create maps for current-state and target-state processes, detailing volumes, handoffs, systems, exceptions, and cycle times.

• Establish quantitative baselines using time, volume, and cost data, and maintain a log of assumptions.

• Prepare inputs for benefit cases, conduct sensitivity analyses, and provide evidence trails for potential savings.

• Draft business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for automation and AI solutions.

• Address design inquiries as solutions are developed.

• Compile inputs for implementation plans that encompass process modifications, role changes, dependencies, and strategic business decisions.

• Assist in user acceptance testing and rollout alongside the transformation PMO and project management teams.

• Gather adoption and usage metrics post-go-live to facilitate benefit tracking.

• Utilize AI agents for transcription, synthesis, analysis, and documentation, ensuring outputs are verified against source materials.

• Uphold documentation standards and aid colleagues in their application.

• Contribute to the creation of reusable templates, process libraries, and design patterns.

• Raise risks, scope modifications, and data gaps with the Strategy and Design Lead.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, process enhancement, operations consulting, or transformation delivery.

• Proficient in process mapping and current state documentation in an established notation or agreed-upon standard.

• Skilled in requirements elicitation and documentation, including conducting interviews, workshops, and creating user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Strong quantitative analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to develop a baseline from raw volume, time, and cost data.

• Competent in leading discovery discussions with seasoned operational personnel.

• Adaptable and agile in approach, comfortable working with incomplete information and iterating towards a solution.

• Practical knowledge of AI and automation capabilities and their limitations.

• Experience working with AI agents and validating their outputs.

• Capable of prioritizing tasks and setting timelines with minimal direction, presenting completed work for approval, and escalating issues as needed.

• Fluent in written and spoken English for daily interactions with colleagues and stakeholders across different time zones.

• Preferred: background in consulting, strategy, or transformation practices.

• Preferred: familiarity with Power BI or similar data analysis and visualization tools.

• Preferred: experience in offshoring, shared services, or platforming.

• Preferred: background in real estate services, facilities management, or similar global services experience.

• Preferred: exposure to automation or AI implementation, including workflow automation, agents, or data products.
