This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Capture functional and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analytical methods.
• Generate sprint documentation that includes user stories, acceptance criteria, refinement notes, and summaries of sprint reviews.
• Create release notes for updates, enhancements, and changes to the application platform.
• Sustain user guides, onboarding materials, help documentation, and training resources.
• Develop and maintain API documentation, detailing request/response information, integration notes, and usage instructions.
• Assist in backlog grooming and feature refinement sessions with product and technical teams.
• Document workflow diagrams, process maps, and system interactions thoroughly.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and security staff to guarantee clarity and completeness of requirements.
• Oversee documentation repositories, version control systems, and content management standards.
• Aid in UAT planning, development of test cases, and communication with users.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, cybersecurity teams, and cloud engineers throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance, backed by a Tier 3 background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Writer, or Documentation Specialist.
• Proven experience in documenting requirements, user stories, and technical workflows.
• Familiarity with producing release notes, user guides, or API documentation.
• Experience in supporting Agile development teams and managing sprint cycles.
• Proven ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in enterprise settings.
• Strong grasp of requirements analysis, documentation practices, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Understanding of API concepts and technical documentation standards is essential.
• Proficient in creating process flows, diagrams, and structured documentation.
• Exceptional written communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Capability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable documentation.
• Strong facilitation skills for gathering requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple documentation workstreams effectively.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with DoD or federal IT environments is preferred.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other Agile certifications are preferred.
• Technical writing certifications are preferred.
