Business Analyst Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate manufacturing, quality, and shop-floor processes to uncover gaps and opportunities for improvement.

• Facilitate workshops and conduct interviews to capture functional and technical requirements.

• Set up Solumina modules such as Work Instructions, Routing, NCR, MRB, and Quality.

• Transform requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Develop and implement test plans while assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Participate in the training, documentation, and communication of new features.

• Diagnose production issues and manage defect resolution efforts.

• Work alongside engineering, quality, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure MES capabilities align with operational needs.

• Suggest improvements to enhance usability, data integrity, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in manufacturing or aerospace/defense sectors.

• Familiarity with Solumina MES (preferred) or other MES/MOM systems.

• Functional expertise in SAP PP, QM, SM; adept at debugging transactions.

• Experience with ABAP, IDoc, PI/PO configuration, event handling, and TVARV/SPRO.

• Strong grasp of manufacturing and quality processes.

• Proficient in requirements documentation and process mapping.

• Knowledgeable about Agile or hybrid methodologies.

• Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with Solumina iSeries or G8 (preferred).

• Understanding of SAP S4 HANA CPI or other ERP integrations (Oracle, etc.) (preferred).

• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing settings (preferred).
