Bursar Associate I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with learners to ensure the accuracy of their accounts.

• Coordinate timely tuition and fee payments with students.

• Record payments from all funding sources into the ledger.

• Manually enter relevant fees into the Student Information System (SIS).

• Update learner accounts to process refunds accurately.

• Manage and facilitate learner ledger credits through stipend payments.

• Ensure the SIS reflects payments accurately and maintains ledger integrity.

• Engage in additional functional projects as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Some college education is required; an associate degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution is preferred.

• A minimum of one year of experience in entry-level or basic Accounting/Finance is required.

• Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office Applications is required.

• Capability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.

• At least one year of customer service experience is strongly preferred.

• Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as create and interpret graphs is preferred.

• Some experience in a higher education institution is preferred.

• Experience with a ledger or accounts receivable is preferred.

• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
