Bulgarian/English OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Professionally respond to calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during conversations.

• Have a solid understanding of industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without alterations, omissions, or additions.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional development training.

• Exhibit enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication with and report to your team leader.

• Follow the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Bulgarian."

• Over one year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
