Bulgarian OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting (particularly in healthcare and medical contexts).

• Ensure all messages are rendered accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting any part of the message.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Bulgarian".

• International certifications in the healthcare field are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Exhibit strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
