This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical authority for the program.

• Perform desktop verifications of projects.

• Ensure Trade Ally compliance with program, Department of Energy, and relevant state regulations.

• Guarantee that program designs align with installation guidelines and meet minimum standards.

• Create technical training resources and deliver training sessions for both internal and external participants.

• Act as the technical representative to partner programs, clients, customers, contractors, and at technical forums/boards.

• Approve technical communications and representation materials.

• Provide guidance and training to Trade Allies.

• Assess evaluation and project risks, developing and communicating effective strategies.

• Conduct quality control on complex measures and modeling runs.

• Establish protocols for interpreting specifications, guidelines, manuals, and technical requirements.

• Offer building science modifications to contractor measures.

• Assist in documenting insights regarding project scope, planning, and the efficacy of products and services.

• Review documents to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to sound building science practices.

• Attend and engage in necessary program meetings and training sessions.

• Utilize building rating and energy modeling tools.

• Adapt to a dynamic work environment while effectively managing time and schedules.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (e.g., HVAC, electrical, residential construction, building maintenance, general contracting, etc.) is required.

• In-depth knowledge of building science and its applications is essential.

• BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) certification is required, or the ability to obtain it within the first 60 days of employment.

• Strong communication, organizational, mathematical, and documentation abilities are necessary.

• Exceptional attention to detail is critical.

• A high school diploma is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is needed.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support.

• Successful candidates must pass pre-employment screenings.

• If applicable, must meet all DOT qualification standards and adhere to relevant federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
