This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the development of reference architectures for integrated building systems within healthcare facilities.
• Create solutions that incorporate BMS, energy management and control platforms, security, access, video surveillance, fire and life safety, RTLS, Nurse Call, healthcare technologies, master system integration, cybersecurity, and other low-voltage and connected building technologies.
• Convert customer requirements into scalable, well-documented solution designs with clear integration and outcome pathways.
• Suggest system architectures that enhance patient experience, operational effectiveness, energy efficiency, safety, security, and productivity.
• Evaluate and construct technical specifications, drawings, and integration requirements for significant healthcare projects.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to pinpoint customer challenges, objectives, and current environments.
• Collaborate with owners, operators, consultants, and partners to comprehend operational workflows and regional needs.
• Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey, effectively conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership during pre-sales engagements without direct quota obligations.
• Create tailored solutions that meet customer needs and drive business results.
• Conduct product demonstrations that showcase solution value and return on investment (ROI).
• Facilitate architecture discussions, assess feasibility, and address technical concerns.
• Convert technical features into clear business advantages.
• Maintain a solid grasp of healthcare design principles, including uptime, redundancy, resilience, and operational continuity.
• Analyze customer specifications and single-line diagrams to produce optimized, cost-efficient solutions.
• Support product lifecycle management and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Represent technical value during customer presentations, design reviews, and industry discussions.
• Stay informed about developments and trends in healthcare, such as ventilation, infection control, and energy efficiency.
• Report to the Sr Sales Manager and work collaboratively across functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare application engineering, solution proposal, or solution consulting OR 5+ years in healthcare facility management leadership AND 3+ years designing building systems in healthcare settings.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare building systems, controls, and integration technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer, patient, and medical staff needs into technical solutions.
• Capability to analyze technical specifications and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
• Strong business acumen to link technical solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for engaging with customers.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn configuration and pricing tools.
• Experience in healthcare environments, including hospitals, retirement care homes, and clinics.
• Knowledge of smart hospital ecosystems.
• Ability to identify market opportunities and spearhead innovation initiatives.
• Experience influencing product strategy or standardization efforts.
