Broker Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist accounts and fulfill performance expectations related to production, quality, and service.

• Provide customer service and address service requests promptly.

• Aid in the recruitment of new retail agents and brokers.

• Oversee the intake process for new business submissions, create accounts in Epic, assess submissions, and retrieve loss runs.

• Keep the new business pipeline spreadsheet updated in collaboration with the Broker.

• Support renewal processes by collecting information, dispatching renewal letters, and organizing renewal activities.

• Process transactions related to new policies, renewals, and other policy changes, including midterm adjustments, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and Agent of Record modifications.

• Manage USAT email inboxes and maintain logs of submissions.

• Offer marketing and administrative assistance, including the preparation of policy binders and invoicing.

• Handle incoming mail, faxes, and other correspondence.

• Ensure agency management system data is accurate and current.

• Track and complete outstanding activities in Epic.

• Identify and resolve basic policy billing problems, escalating complex issues to the Broker.

• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.

• Adhere to USAT guidelines and SOPs while enhancing technical and industry knowledge through training.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience or equivalent education; or at least 2 years of relevant customer service experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of insurance brokerage and client requirements.

• Active licensing is required or the ability to obtain it.

• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and decision-making capabilities.

• Outstanding customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

• Capability to handle large workloads with a high level of accuracy.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
