This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Generate, issue, and monitor invoices to merchants/customers in accordance with established schedules, pricing structures, and service usage.
• Ensure billing accuracy by verifying billed amounts against contracts, service usage, pricing plans, discounts, and related terms.
• Oversee outstanding accounts receivable ledgers and aging reports, following up on overdue invoices as necessary.
• Collaborate with merchants to address slow or withheld payments resulting from billing discrepancies, disputes, or other issues.
• Identify underlying causes and coordinate with the Customer Success and Finance teams to resolve billing and payment challenges.
• Reconcile ledger entries, received payments, invoice adjustments, credits/refunds, and the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end accounts receivable closing activities, including summaries, reports, and necessary supporting documentation.
• Maintain and enhance documentation and templates for billing/accounts receivable processes.
• Identify trends and implement improvements aimed at reducing errors, minimizing manual workload, and expediting payment processes.
• Support various Finance/Billing/AR projects, including merchant integrations, billing modules, and automation initiatives.
• Work in collaboration with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Operations on billing readiness, merchant onboarding, service modifications, and contract amendments.
• Provide cross-functional reporting on outstanding accounts receivable, billing error rates, average payment days, and dispute resolution status.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts within the Finance & Billing team.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• CA or CPA qualified, or actively pursuing this qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or finance operations.
• Experience in a high-volume environment is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized self-starter with strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume operational finance setting.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners regarding billing and payment issues.
• Capability to collaborate across functions while also working independently.
• Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and managing large datasets.
• Focus on data accuracy, cleanup, and process enhancement.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new finance systems, ERP tools, and AI-driven technologies.
• Flexibility to adapt to process changes.
• Willingness to work during Australian time-zone hours or coordinate with a Sydney-based finance team.
