This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
β’ Accurately record and maintain daily financial transactions.
β’ Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations.
β’ Create and distribute customer invoices.
β’ Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims.
β’ Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.
β’ Manage the general ledger and associated financial records.
β’ Assist in payroll processing and reconciliation tasks.
β’ Generate regular management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
β’ Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
β’ Ensure accurate records for tax and audit compliance.
β’ Identify discrepancies and follow up on outstanding accounts.
β’ Contribute to enhancements in bookkeeping procedures and internal controls.
β’ Perform additional bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed.
β’ A minimum of two to three years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
β’ Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
β’ Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MYOB.
β’ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
β’ Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
β’ High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
β’ Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
β’ Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
β’ Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
β’ Previous experience supporting an Australian business is highly valued.
β’ Knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, and payroll processes is advantageous.
β’ Eligibility to work in Malaysia is required.
β’ Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MYT (UTC+8), with reasonable overlap with Australian business hours.
