This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Investigate moderate to complex casualty claims that include both single and multi-car accidents, as well as represented moderate or major claims.
β’ Manage specialized claims that are complex or highly complex, such as business interruption, loss of income, and Errors and Omissions policies.
β’ Supervise investigations related to liability and bodily injury.
β’ Conduct recorded statements.
β’ Address loss of use claims.
β’ Process payments to the relevant parties.
β’ Negotiate and resolve bodily injury matters, or escalate unresolved issues as necessary.
β’ Summarize documents and input notes into the claims system.
β’ Handle, research, and resolve intricate customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues.
β’ Review medical reports for the evaluation of claims settlements.
β’ Investigate, respond to, or engage in complaints or investigations from the Department of Insurance.
β’ Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with best practices of the business unit.
β’ Establish and update initial reserves, document the rationale, and maintain summary notes on claims.
β’ Assess coverage limits and claim values in complex cases involving one or more claimants.
β’ Document claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes.
β’ Primarily manage represented claims for NJ, NY, and PA.
β’ Prior experience in handling represented casualty claims is mandatory.
β’ Preferred claims experience in at least one of the following states: NY, NJ, PA, FL, VA, or NC.
β’ A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in moderate to complex Bodily Injury claim handling is required.
β’ Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
β’ Capability to work independently and remotely while effectively managing time.
β’ Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination is essential.
β’ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Awareness of innovative tools and platforms for efficient claims evaluation.
β’ Home office setup with a dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions.
β’ Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down and 5 MB up.
β’ Suitable work surface and seating arrangements.
β’ Eligibility to work in the United States, excluding California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington.
β’ Successful completion of a background investigation.
β’ An adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
