This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
β’ Conduct investigations into automobile accidents that involve one or more vehicles resulting in property damage and/or personal injury, often in collaboration with attorneys or during litigation.
β’ Manage casualty claims primarily across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.
β’ Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages associated with claims.
β’ Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the claim process.
β’ Engage with customers and attorneys via phone calls, emails, text messages, and occasionally video chats.
β’ Utilize cutting-edge platforms and tools for claims assessment.
β’ Negotiate equitable injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
β’ Conduct thorough damage assessments and interpret policies to ascertain coverage.
β’ Implement claims-handling methodologies in complex and challenging scenarios.
β’ Utilize estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms effectively.
β’ Ensure timely and precise documentation of claims within the claims management system.
β’ Safeguard the company's financial interests by adhering to policy agreements during execution.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in handling Casualty Represented or Litigation third-party claims is required.
β’ Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
β’ Capability to work autonomously and remotely while efficiently managing time.
β’ Understanding of insurance policies, coverage, and liability assessment.
β’ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for assessing and negotiating injury claims.
β’ Familiarity with innovative tools and platforms for evaluating claims.
β’ Preference for candidates located in the Central and Eastern time zones.
β’ Candidates must reside outside of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, and Puerto Rico.
β’ Submission to a background investigation is mandatory.
β’ A dedicated and private home workspace that is free from distractions is required.
β’ An appropriate desk and seating arrangement is necessary for remote work.
β’ Reliable internet connection is essential, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
β’ The successful candidate may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor.
