Blockchain Investigator, Law Enforcement Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis of virtual currency transactions utilizing advanced blockchain analytics tools.

• Trace transaction histories, recognize patterns, and reveal illicit activities within blockchain networks.

• Act as the main contact for law enforcement agencies.

• Produce comprehensive reports and insights on blockchain activities to aid criminal investigations.

• Address and execute incoming requests from law enforcement.

• Collect relevant data, perform thorough analyses, and provide timely, accurate information.

• Enhance law enforcement's understanding of patterns and indicators of illicit activities on the blockchain.

• Keep abreast of advancements in blockchain technology, trends in virtual currency, and changes in regulations.

• Refine analytical methods and tools by leveraging current industry knowledge.

• Collaborate with legal, compliance, cybersecurity, and management stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in blockchain analytics, preferably with Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.

• Profound and verifiable understanding of cryptocurrency transaction patterns and potential indicators of criminal activity.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in accessible terms for law enforcement personnel.

• Experience collaborating with law enforcement agencies is highly preferred.

• Capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent proficiency in English communication.
