
Blade Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Regularly engage with Service Management, the Client, internal technical team, other GE Onshore wind farms, contractors, and the local community.
• Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled servicing of wind turbine blades.
• Offer onsite technical support and hands-on service for blade repair, inspection, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare service documentation throughout the repair process based on work instructions.
• Collaborate with the Engineering/Technical team to define and establish repair processes.
• Communicate with management and colleagues to integrate customer requests into job planning and execution.
• Coordinate and lead skilled labor performing tasks on customer sites.
• Draft technical reports, order materials, and prepare job status updates, customer reports, timesheets, and expense reports.
• Manage costs and expenditures effectively.
• Uphold safety standards and adhere to EHS policies and procedures.
• Execute and ensure proper maintenance and fault detection of assets.
• Maintain reports utilizing GE software management tools and databases.
• Perform work in accordance with JSA, LOTO, EHS, and related policies/procedures.
• Document errors, violations, incidents, or issues using GE reporting systems.
• Relevant qualifications such as ITI/Diploma/Graduate.
• A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in an English medium educational background.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in composites and epoxy blade repairs.
• Solid understanding of EHS policies and procedures.
• Capability to work irregular hours and durations in remote settings.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must maintain physical fitness and be able to climb towers.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of blade repair materials.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and technical documents.
• Good knowledge of blade inspection processes.
• Familiarity with blade repair tools, equipment, and their operation.
• Excellent proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a field service team.
• Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
• Openness to long-term stays in other countries.
• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Access.
• Basic knowledge of First Aid.
