
Bioprocessing Sales Specialist β Engineered Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Take ownership of strategic opportunity development within the designated territory.
β’ Foster multi-tier relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate effectively with BAM/Inside Sales, Field Applications, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Quality teams.
β’ Promote and sell downstream, upstream, and single-use engineered systems as well as software solutions.
β’ Create and implement a regional management plan.
β’ Design customized and modular engineered solutions for both upstream and downstream bioprocessing.
β’ Review customer URS preparations and formulate proposals based on specific customer needs.
β’ Conduct sales negotiations with technical and procurement departments.
β’ Propel the sales process through territory account managers to achieve or surpass sales and profitability goals.
β’ Establish and nurture strategic key account relationships.
β’ Identify and develop new target accounts across the territory.
β’ Assist customers from lab-scale to full process-scale solutions.
β’ Provide timely sales reports and forecasts using a CRM tool.
β’ Maintain communication with bioprocessing infrastructure partners while identifying new opportunities.
β’ Share insights on products, markets, and competition with Business and Market Development.
β’ Aid in the creation of sales collateral.
β’ Supply Manufacturing and QA/QC operations with necessary information for forecasting, complaint management, and facility audits.
β’ Carry out field sales activities, including customer visits, technical presentations, quote preparation, and negotiations.
β’ Attend, manage, and follow up on trade show events.
β’ Report to the Director of Integrated Systems.
β’ Operate from a home office with travel requirements of 50% within the region.
β’ A minimum of a BEng or BSc degree in Biochemical Engineering or a related field.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
β’ In-depth knowledge of engineered systems for various unit operations, including chromatography and filtration.
β’ Strong understanding of chromatography and/or filtration is highly advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with engineering control platforms like Allen Bradley, Delta V, or Siemens is beneficial.
β’ Proven history of successful sales performance and key account management experience.
β’ Proficiency in interpreting engineering documentation and drawings.
β’ Capability to build mutually beneficial, personable, and trusting relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
β’ Strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
β’ Willingness to travel extensively throughout the designated territory.
