This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address service calls by evaluating, diagnosing, repairing, and conducting scheduled maintenance on customer biomedical equipment.
• Conduct safety and environmental inspections while fostering strong relationships with customers.
• Adhere to and guide others on GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and necessary documentation.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates and colleagues.
• Establish proactive daily communications with customers to ensure issues are resolved and followed up on.
• Implement GE/customer facility contracts to support business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and assist technicians in performing both basic and advanced repairs.
• Deliver efficient service to accounts within the designated area.
• Share on-call/pager responsibilities.
• Document repair activities and submit scheduled reports and summaries.
• Manage spares, tools, testing equipment, calibration, and approved parts inventory.
• Oversee vendors' service delivery processes in accordance with GE policies.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current medical equipment standards, codes, and procedures.
• May act as Site Leader, directing Biomedical Technicians and overseeing customer account activities.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Human Services, environmental health and safety, regulatory, quality, and compliance standards.
• Complete planned quality and compliance training, and report any customer quality or compliance issues.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with 2+ years of experience in servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education with 2+ years of experience in servicing electrical or mechanical equipment; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in servicing medical equipment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers.
• Successful completion of GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
• Adherence to customer access policies, including required immunizations and potential additional drug tests or background checks.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; GE HealthCare does not sponsor employment visas.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.
• Required vision capabilities may include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Willingness to work after hours or participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
