This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate multiple online Supplemental Instruction sessions weekly to foster engaging student discussions on challenging course material.

• Develop interactive activities for online sessions to captivate students and enhance their understanding of course content.

• Incorporate course-specific study techniques and learning strategies to optimize students’ academic growth.

• Attend mandatory SI Leader Orientation, training sessions, and scheduled meetings.

• Fulfill SI-related administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Online Tutoring Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a current Residential undergraduate or graduate student.

• Achieved an "A" or "B" in the course you intend to tutor.

• Maintain a cumulative LU GPA of at least 3.0.

• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.

• Demonstrate enthusiasm for assisting students in enhancing their understanding of course material and effective study practices.

• Show a high level of responsibility, reliability, punctuality, and organizational skills.

• Maintain appropriate and professional conduct.

• Possess the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.

• Capable of understanding, speaking, and writing in English.

• Exhibit public communication skills for the professional representation of Liberty University.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Ability to reason, analyze information and events, and apply sound judgment to resolve both routine and complex issues.
