Billing Technical Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the design, testing, and execution of billing processes.

• Conduct user acceptance testing of billing functionalities for system releases utilizing established test plans and scripts.

• Record testing outcomes and communicate results; perform follow-up testing as necessary.

• Investigate and rectify discrepancies and errors within the billing system.

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate billing practices.

• Confirm that invoices align with agreed-upon terms and conditions and adhere to Department of Insurance regulations.

• Identify and propose enhancements to billing policies and procedures.

• Compile and present analytical reports addressing trends, inefficiencies, delinquent accounts, and other relevant metrics.

• Oversee billing invoice and form generation cycles, notifying management of any issues.

• Manage ad hoc customer billing requests and address customer billing inquiries.

• Provide coverage for team members as necessary.

• Engage in cross-training initiatives.

• Assist with analytical reporting and execute Billing SQL queries.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or business analytics is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with the billing workflows of Duck Creek or other proprietary billing systems.

• Capability to produce clear documentation for billing processes, system configurations, and audit trails.

• Proficiency in SQL is preferred.

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.

• Excellent time management abilities.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Word.

• Familiarity with Power Query, Index Match, and nested If functions is preferred.
