This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the daily operations and workflow of billing teams located in the U.S. and abroad.
• Manage team workloads, offer guidance and training, and address any billing process-related issues.
• Review and finalize complex or high-profile client invoices within accounting systems.
• Assist Managers and Principals with billing needs, invoice status updates, and related inquiries.
• Evaluate new opportunities, client contracts, and engagement setup requests to ensure billing readiness.
• Verify billing terms, rates, invoice instructions, documentation, and approvals prior to the commencement of engagements and invoicing.
• Recognize and facilitate the resolution of billing or collection challenges.
• Supply reports and work assignments to offshore billing teams while monitoring their completion.
• Coordinate invoice revisions and secure necessary approvals.
• Track billing outcomes, identify process deficiencies, and propose enhancements.
• Assist in the testing and implementation of upgrades and enhancements to accounting systems.
• Supervise employees in alignment with company policies and relevant laws.
• Support the Director of Accounting Operations and perform additional related tasks.
• Proven success in accounts receivable, billing, or a related financial function.
• Solid understanding of billing processes, documentation requirements, approvals, and internal controls.
• Strong client-service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively with others to reach business objectives.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative without awaiting detailed instructions.
• Excellent process management, project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in reviewing contracts, billing terms, and engagement setup data.
• Capability to monitor billing workflows, identify process inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
• Familiarity with billing or financial systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, along with progressively responsible related experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Workday, and internet navigation and research.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
• Independent travel requirement: 0 to 10%.
